We are proud to announce Reality Defender's participation in Singapore Cybersecurity Agency sponsored CyberBoost Catalyse, a prestigious program designed to help innovative cybersecurity startups expand their operations in Singapore, Asia Pacific, and beyond. As threats from AI-generated deepfakes continue to grow across critical infrastructure sectors, this opportunity allows us to extend our mission of securing communication channels against sophisticated impersonation attacks
Our inclusion in this cohort comes at a pivotal moment for the cybersecurity landscape. Recent research from the Financial Services Information Sharing and Analysis Center (FS-ISAC) highlights that deepfake video, audio, and images are a potent emerging threat to financial services firms, with the capacity to amplify the impact of disinformation campaigns, enable sophisticated social engineering crimes, and undermine society's trust in the financial system.
Reality Defender directly addresses these concerns by detecting AI-generated audio, video, and images at scale and in real time. By integrating into communication platforms, we prevent deepfake-enabled attacks before they can compromise critical systems or undermine trust in essential services.
Why Singapore Matters for Deepfake Detection
The CyberBoost Catalyse program represents a significant strategic opportunity for Reality Defender. As part of a select group of ten international startups from across Europe, the US, South Korea, Singapore, and Israel, we have received guidance on navigating Singapore's regulatory landscape, connections with security leaders and potential end-users, access to experienced entrepreneurs and investors, support in developing proof-of-concept collaborations, and strategic advice on international expansion. The program's one-week bootcamp in Singapore provided invaluable insights into the regional market and connected us with key stakeholders in the cybersecurity ecosystem.
Singapore's position as a global financial hub makes it an ideal location to address the growing threat of deepfakes in financial services, where impersonation can lead to reputational damage to executives and organizations, breach of confidential data and intellectual property, and theft of assets through sophisticated social engineering. Additionally, Singapore's forward-thinking approach to cybersecurity regulation and its role as a technology innovator in the region provide the perfect environment for Reality Defender to extend its impact.
The Path Forward: Building Trust in an AI-Powered World
Our participation in CyberBoost Catalyse strengthens our ability to deliver on our promise of securing communications in an AI-powered world. Through this program, we are now expanding our reach to protect more organizations against deepfake threats, collaborating with regional partners to enhance our detection capabilities, contributing to the development of robust security standards for AI systems, and supporting critical infrastructure resilience across multiple sectors. We look forward to leveraging the connections, insights, and opportunities provided by CyberBoost Catalyse to advance our mission of securing critical communication channels against deepfake impersonations.
